SUBMITTING BOOK PROPOSALS
Our writers are not special people. They are ordinary people with the courage to tell special stories. Stories of hope. Stories of encouragement. Stories of empowerment. Stories of learning, of living, of love.

Currently, we are looking for very special manuscripts in the following genres:

• Families reuniting or restructuring, resulting in wholeness
• ’How-To', relating to the arts, including gospel music and dance
• Educational Resources for adults
• Biographical accounts of life after prison or addiction
• Works of fiction highlighting positive stories of love and commitment

Of course, if you have a better idea, we'd love to read that as well.

Submission Guidelines:
Submit a Proposal Package that must include:

1. a cover letter,
2. book outline (along with at least one draft chapter, preferably),
3. expected length of book,
4. intended audience(s) and marketing plan,
5. author resume or bio, and any related information.

Mail your package to writeRelations, PO Box 7683 , Largo , MD  20792’ you can email your package to submissions@writerelations.com but we must also receive a hardcopy in the mail.

We'll review your concept, get some independent opinions if necessary, and get back to you with our best advice within three to four weeks of receipt of your materials. We may tell you that we're unable to fully manage your project at that particular time - and then we'll offer our enhanced publishing services .

Do you have a great story but don't think you are the one to put it on paper? We have 'ghostwriters' waiting to work with you! Send us an email and sell us on your story.

It’s my job to choose a select number of projects and focus our resources and talents to bring those books to fruition. Proposals are selected based on many things, some tangible, some less obvious – timing, genre, market direction, world events, potential market acceptance – I balance all that and more and make decisions accordingly.

If we can’t commit our full resources to your book project, however, we still want to support you!

GHOSTWRITING SERVICES
You climbed Mount Everest! You raised 5 children without a wife – and they are all honor roll students! You can cure the common cold with 5 easy-to-locate herbal medicines!

You may have a great story, but writing just isn’t your thing………not a problem.

We can provide you with a list of ghostwriters who will help you get your words on the page. Rates vary, but in general you can expect to:

Provide a one-time ‘ghostwriting’ fee

Share a portion of your royalties

Assign co-author status to your ghostwriter

EDITING SERVICES
Managing Editor: $2000+

Supervises the entire publishing process, from raw manuscript to published book. Manages scheduling, editorial team, production department, and all external vendors. Rate variance factors: subject matter, production timeline, and length/complexity of project.

Basic Copyeditor: $25/hr or $2/pg

Includes spelling, grammar, capitalization, punctuation, table of contents, tables/figures, numbers, and abbreviations, name and gender inconsistencies

Substantive Copyeditor: $30/hr or $3/pg

Basic copyedit functions, content and style, redundancies, wordiness, weak sentence style, organization weakness, lack of focus

Proofreader: $2.50/pg

Comparison of galley or draft manuscript to copyedit – can be done via page prints or physical copy
